Further Studies at Universities
After graduating with an NIEC diploma, if you are considering embarking on further studies with a local or overseas university, you may wish to consider the following Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL). At IHLs offering early childhood education-related degrees, you may be eligible for advanced standing and be granted some exemptions. For more details, visit the respective institute’s webpage:

NTU recognises the following NIEC early childhood education diplomas for admissions into their degree programmes here.

NIE recognises all full-time early childhood diplomas, including the Diploma in Tamil Studies with Early Education into their Bachelor of Arts (Academic Discipline & Education) Teaching Scholars Programme.

NIEC students may be considered for entry directly into the 3-year track: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with Minor.
Students from NIEC’s part-time Chinese diploma courses 幼儿保育与教育专业文凭(转业)课程–教学 Diploma (Conversion) in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (Chinese) and 幼儿保育与教育专业文凭课程–教学 Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (Chinese) who graduate with a GPA ≥3.50 and holding the following foreign qualifications are not required to complete a foundation course prior to entering the Bachelor of Early Childhood and Chinese Language Education programme.
- 普通高中
- 大专/中专/本科（但无普通高中学历）
In addition, the official admission interview is waived for applicants with NIEC DECCE-T Chi/ DECCE-T (Conv) Chi with GPA ≥3.50 and 普通高中.
